7 months. Christmas, New Years and everything else in between and since!

7 Months &
24 pounds & 29 1/2 inches

Growing is without a doubt something that Ezekiel excels at! And we are thankful for that! In the last month he has gotten to expand his taste pallet quite a bit! We started with rice and now he is also eating oatmeal, avacado, spinach, asparagus, carrots, squash, peas, green beans, broccoli, sweet potatoes, chicken, prunes, bananas, peaches, and apricots. Surprisingly he really likes his veggies the most, but will defiantly eat his fruits, but he was not a fan of the chicken...AT ALL! Watch here! Oh he also had some apple too! You can watch that here!

Ezekiel is such an amazing little man! One of my favorite things is how interested he has been in the puppies and in turn how good the puppies are with him! Jaxon has always been such an important and huge part of our lives and our family and it is so neat to see that love for dogs in Z as well! He gets SO excited when Jaxon or Brodie come near him! He really likes to just look at Brodie but he loves to pet Jaxon, he has even grabbed his ears and tail and Jaxon was such a good boy and just let him do it!

I truly love that he is not afraid of the puppies at all! I can really tell that as Z grows him and Jaxon will be the best of buds! The puppies are also learning what Z's time in the high chair will be all about! See...

He is also talking a lot and saying all sorts of new sounds all the time! We have recently mastered "ba" and have started with "pa" and I think I have caught a few "fa"s (he must be trying to call for his Aunty Fa Fa)! No "da" yet, I think its about the only one we are missing! I am sure it will some soon!

Just yesterday (I have now been writing this post for about a week!) his bottom teeth poked through! You can't quite see them yet, but you can defiantly feel them! Grandpa Bear says its time to start grilling up the steak for him!

During tummy time he is getting butt up in the air and also lifts his tummy off of the floor. He will hold himself up for a second when we set him down on his hands and knees. He isn't quite pushing himself up to his hands and knees yet, but it will come soon enough! (I don't know if I am ready for him to be mobile yet!)

He still is such a happy little boy! I can already tell that he likes to spend time around people and he loves to entertain us! He will do something and look to us to see if we laugh and if we do he will keep on doing it! He also is already quite a flirt! He just loves to make people smile! What a little joyful baby he is! I just love it!

He gets to spend most days with Grandpa Bear as he is in between jobs and I have been picking up more hours at work because we have gotten so busy! It's so nice to know that Z-man is at home being looked after by someone that love him as much as we do! My dad does such a great job with him, it is so cute!

Most days when Mike gets home from work Z gets so excited to see him and then they do "baby rocker jet packet"! Which starts with a blast off (during which his face just lights up with the biggest smile) and then he takes off and flies around the house! He just loves it so much!

Then when Grandma Bear gets home most days she gets mauled with open mouth baby kisses! Makes us all kind of jealous (though I do get them from time to time if I am gone long enough)! I just love them my parents are around to be getting to experience so many of Z's firsts with us! We really appreciate their help and I hope they are enjoying the time here (which I believe they are)!

We had a really great Christmas! Mike's brother Jeb and our niece Ellie came down the weekend before Christmas and we had Christmas together. We also got to have a skype date with the whole Bemis Crew in S. Korea! That was really fun to see them all and it was my first time getting to see Tessa live! Carlie was showing us pictures and telling us stories! Oh it was just so fun!

We also headed down to Minn Lake for my mom's side of the family's Christmas gathering. It was nice to see everyone and special for my grandma to see the babies again! (sorry I forgot to flip this photo before I uploaded it)
On Christmas Eve we started with a wonderful brunch and then Zeke and I made a birthday cake for Jesus and then we headed to church for Christmas Eve service. After that we headed to Darek & Steph's for Christmas eve dinner and spent some time together. My parents were there and so was my Uncle Mark and Steph's dad, and Steph's sister in law Suzy and her kiddos.

On Christmas day we headed over to Darek and Steph's again at around noonish for lunch. I stepped out of the truck and the smell of Christmas hit me in the face and I was instantly taken back to my childhood days! You may wonder what Christmas smells like, well to me Christmas smells like BBQ ribs...but not any old BBQ ribs, my grandma's famous BBQ ribs! OH so yummy! On my dad's side as long as I can remember my grandma always made BBQ ribs on Christmas day for lunch and a few years back when she was no longer able to make them my mom or Steph has made them. They are a part of Christmas that I look forward to every year, but this year the smell really made me reminiscent, maybe it's because with having Z this year we are starting to pass traditions or maybe because it made me wish those family members that have passed away were there to celebrate with us. All in all, it really set the tone for a wonderful Christmas day! (Thanks Darek & Steph, for making them for us! It really meant more to me than you know!)

After lunch we started the gift opening process and yes...it was quite a process indeed! I believe it took us like 4 hours to get through all the gifts! There were naps through out the opening process, dessert, meals, diaper changes! A lot happens in 4 hours! lol!

(I forgot to flip this one too, sorry! ) Zeke's big boy car seat from
grandpa & grandma, uncle mark, and dad and mom! Thanks everyone!

We also got Ezekiel's 6 month pictures taken! Here are a few, with a few family shots!
